There was a stand-off between teachers unions and a superintendent in a Rhode Island school that was an abysmal failure. The union rejected the supe's plans, which included 25 minutes extra work per day, eating lunch with the students occasionally, and other such horrendous measures. Her response?  You're all fired.  Sweet.

Heartburn: a new poll shows 52% think Obama does not deserve a second term; 63% think Congress should retire, too. Oh, by the way, that's in a CNN poll!  This is worse than when the GOP swept power in 1994.
